I am Juliette Segree, MSN, ARNP-BC.  I have been a nurse for 22 years.  I graduated in 1988 with an AS Degree in Nursing.  I continued my education over the next 10 years and in 1999 I decided to jump in and just do it.  I enrolled at the University of South Florida's BSN program.  As I came to the end of the BSN program at USF, the AS-MSN program was developed and I was enticed to continue.  I selected the Family Nurse Practitioner Program and began that program along with completing the requirements for the BSN program.  I graduated from USF on December 14, 2002 as a Family Nurse Practitioner.  My professional focus has been in Women's Health.  My first assignment was on a GYN Surgical unit where I developed critical tihinking skills that has carried me through my career.  I have 16 years of Labor and Delivery experience.  I worked as a FNP in Women's Health from 2003-2005.  My experiences included Staff Development in Perinatal Services where I developed programs to keep the nurse current on changing standards of care.  I also teach AWHONN's Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course to prepare Labor and Delivery RNs for the EFM-Subspecialty Examination provided by the National Certification Corporation. I am a CPR instructor as well.  Teaching has always been of interest to me as I have been a preceptor to many nursing students, new graduates and seasoned nurses as well.

My teachig philosophy guides me regarding interaction with students.  I believe that each student is here to learn and develop leadership skills as this is the new face of Nursing.  Nursing Leadership at the bedside is imperative in providing the best quality care to clients.   As the facilitator of the learning process, I will be available to support you in all your endeavors as you complete each class to acheive your goal,

I have four wonderful children.  Twins Donald and Danielle (19) and Gabrielle (15) and pooch Leo (6) 

My interest are raising my children to become good citizens of the world, crocheting, electronic scrabble, reading for fun and playing with my pooch (Leo).
