Hi all, welcome to my page!  The focus of my classes is application-based. In other words, my classes will be interactive and will provide you with the skills to be able to apply what you learn in the classroom to real-life. My particular area of interest/expertise is in neuroscience and brain mechanisms which underlie various psychological phenomena, although my classes cover a broad general spectrum of psychology.

I have bachelor of science degrees in both Industrial Engineering and Psychology. I received my Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Psychology from the University of South Florida, where my focus was in the field of Neuroscience. My main research interests involve the study of the effects of stress on learning and memory, and diet influences on the brain and cognitive functioning, especially in abnormal neurological processes occurring in disorders such as dementia.  I am passionate about teaching psychology and relating psychological phenomena to everyday life.
