Welcome to my course. My name is Dr. Sean D. K. Scott, J.D. and I am your instructor for this course. I graduated from what was then known as SPJC back in 1988 with an A.A. degree and went on to the University of Florida where I obtained a B.A. in Criminal Justice in 1990. I subsequently went back to the University of Florida's College of Law and received my J.D. (Juris Doctorate) in 1994. I have been practicing law since 1995 and have practiced in the areas of Criminal Defense (as an Assistant Public Defender and as a private attorney), Personal Injury, Probate, Civil Litigation, Real Property, Corporate and Business Law. My main areas of practice now consists mainly of Corporate and Business Law. I have been teaching Business Law I since 1999 and became a fulltime instructor in the fall of 2001. I currently teach Corporations, Business Law, Civil Litigation, and Cyber Law. My interests are longboard surfing, DIY projects, fishing, and golfing.
