Deirdre Schuster, M.LA
I received my AA degree from St. Petersburg College, my BS from UCF and my MLA from USF-SP in Florida Studies. I am currently pursuing my Ed.D at Nova Southeastern University in Instructional Technology and Distance Education (OTDE). I enjoy bringing the Florida aspect to American History.
I have been teaching in the public school system for over 30 years, both at the middle and high school levels. I also teach the Dual Enrollment US History course at the high school campus.
I am married to Daryl Schuster, also an adjunct instructor at SPC. We have two children, both SPC Alumni. We enjoy being Disney passholders and try to get over to Orlando once a month to enjoy the good food and people watching (not in a creepy way!). We also enjoy traveling and look forward to visiting Japan in a couple of years to see friends we have made from Nagano through the Clearwater Sister Cities program.
I enjoy passing on a knowledge and developing a love for history where none existed before.
