PROFESSIONAL POSITIONS: AUGUST 1993 - PRESENT: Professor, Natural Sciences, St. Petersburg College. Instruction of Natural Science courses (Tarpon Springs, Clearwater, and Seminole campuses), advisement of students, support of college programs and initiatives, participation in course and curriculum revision and development, and service on college committees. Courses instructed include Field Biology of Florida Plants and Animals, Environmental Science, Anatomy and Physiology I, Anatomy and Physiology II, Human Anatomy, Biological Science, Biology I, Biology II, Zoology, Biological Issues, Natural Resource Conservation and Management and associated laboratories. Surveying, monitoring, and management of wildlife and biotic communities on private and public properties in central Florida with emphasis on endangered and potentially endangered species. Consultant for environmental mitigation and contamination issues, delineation and management of wetlands, environmental audits, and establishment and management of preserve areas. MAY 1991 - DECEMBER 1992: Assistant Professor in the School of Forestry, Wildlife, and Fisheries at Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Instruction in the wildlife curriculum and advisement of students. Associate member of the Graduate Faculty. Research in upland ecology with emphasis on free-ranging and captive deer. Consultation with private individuals and state personnel regarding wildlife management and farming of exotic game. Additional research initiatives regarding farming and reproduction of exotic deer and antelope, potential of embryo transfer toward conservation of endangered species, the effects of silviculture practices on wildlife communities, carrying capacity of managed pine plantations for white-tailed deer, and pharmacokinetics of fenbendazole in deer.
