Wanda graduated with a Doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction from NOVA Southeastern University, a Masters in Education from Florida International University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, University of Miami.
Wanda has 23 years of instructional experience in the classroom, K-12 setting. She worked at the District in the Educational Policy department for 5 years.
She was the Office of School Partnerships Instructor in Charge for 3 years.
She has taught at the undergraduate level for 15 years, Miami Dade College and University of Phoenix. At the graduate level she has taught at Keiser University.
She hold’s a Professional Educator’s Certificate in Elementary K-6 and Health K-12.
Wanda has a Clinical Supervision and ESOL Endorsement certificate.
She was a team member of the National Teacher Assessment Development Team and developed the National Board Certification Portfolio and Assessment Test for Health Curriculum.
She was a Curriculum Developer for the Charter Connection in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
She founded the Hispanic Educators Committee/Caucus for Miami Dade County Public Schools.
Wanda was an E-Portfolio Reviewer for 5 years with Miami Dade College.
She was named the Service Learning Faculty of the Year, 2012 for Miami Dade College.
