My educational background includes a BA in Political Science from Maryville College; MA from the University of South Florida in Political Science, Comparative Politics, and International Relations; and Ph.D. from Walden University in Public Policy, Leadership, and Management.

I have been with SPC since 1999, teaching American National Government, International Relations, and Comparative Politics.  I teach full time in all modalities including traditional face to face, hybrid/fiipped/blended, online, and snychronous LIVE ONLINE.

My teaching philosophy is highly student focused.  In all the course formats that I teach, students engage in critical analysis, in-depth discussions, research based inquiry, and active learning.

As part of the courses I teach, students are encouraged to critically explore the political world around them and begin to understand how government and politics interacts with their everyday lives.
