I started my education at Miami Dade College. I later earned my A.A. from Eastern Florida State College (formerly Brevard Community College). After earning my A.A., I moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida where I earned my B.A. in English Literature, and I later earned my M.A. in English Literature at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

I have six years of experience teaching. I have taught English at the University of South Florida, St. Petersburg College, and Hillsborough Community College.
