I attended a local private college called Florida College in Temple Terrace in 2001 and recieved my Associate of Arts degree in 2003. I transferred to the University of South Florida in 2003 and completed my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 2005. I am ESOL certified and Reading endorsed. I began teaching in a third grade classroom at McKitrick Elementary in 2005. I was given the opportunity to open a new school and moved to Hammond Elementary to teach third grade there in 2007. I began my Master of Arts degree in reading at the University of South Florida in the summer of 2007. I completed my degree in 2010 and began teaching Remedial Reading courses for Hillsborough Community College and was given the opportunity to supervise interns for the College of Education at St. Petersburg College.
     I have been married to my wonderful husband for seven years and I have two boys, Ryder, age 4 and Parker, 15 months. I currently teach at St. Petersburg College in the COE and I also teach at Florida College in their education department.
