I am privileged to be a small part of St. Petersburg College (SPC) and the robust educational experience it provides for each student. I have been teaching for quite a number of years, even before I retired from being a priest in the Greek Orthodox Church (22 years). My Bachelor's is in Philosophy and Religion from Hellenic College in Brookline, MA. My first Master's program was at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, also in Brookline, where I received a Master's of Divinity. The Master's of Education program I was in, was at Northern Arizona University (Counseling and Human Relations).

In addition to the Learning Center and the Tutoring services at this excellent college, I too am also here to serve your academic pursuits.  I encourage you to be who you are and follow your dreams. Whatever your goals are - stick to it!  You can do it.  Make a plan - even if you have to update it here and there.  You can do it.  Whatever religious or cultural background each of you hail from, I encourage you to be the best at it. Whatever your pursuits are, I encourage you to follow them with passion. Life is great, and it is not a dressed rehearsal; so right now, give it your best shot! Know that life will throw curve balls because life is messy, and life is not fair.  Don't let that stop you.  Remember that each moment of crisis is an opportunity to be who you say you are. Each moment of "life's tests" is an opportunity for you to prove you are who you say that you are. Remain agents of love, in spite of life. Character is a choice indepenent of degrees, finances, or position. Character exists independent of who your friends are; although they may influence your character one way or another. This class is a stepping stone of a bigger picture. Like the steps of a ladder, we grow and ascend one step at a time.  It is possible that the manner with which you carry, conduct and discipline yourselves in this class, may indicate the habits you are forming that will carry into other areas as well.  I am here to help whether you are a new student or an adult learner.
