I am a proud graduate of the University of Florida (Go Gators!) where I majored in English Literature with a minor in Classics. From there I headed to the University of South Florida where I received my Masters in English Education before becoming a high school teacher.
After four years in the classroom, I decided to go back to school to pursue my Ph.D. while also continuing to teach full-time. While there, my autoethnographic dissertaion received The Illinois Qualitative Dissertation Award from the International Congress on Qualitative Inquiry.
In 2019, I became part of the faculty of St. Petersburg Collegiate High School on the St. Pete- Gibbs campus.
If you know me, you probably know at least one of the following: I love to sew and make my own clothes, I have at least 100 "favorite" books, you don't want to go against me in trivia, and I am an expert in pop culture.
