Ms. Chitra Naidu

I received my bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Food Service Management and Dietetics from University of Madras, Chennai, India. Joined a renowned hospital in India as a diettian. Earned my Master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies, University of Madras, Chennai, India. I worked as a Research Officer, World Health Organization and Ford Foundation on “Mother and Child Survival” project. Through this project, nutrition education was given to care takers, pregnant women, young mothers and the community for the welfare of the new born and growing children. Counselled all age groups on balanced nutrition for proper development and promoted recommended immunizations. Later joined Saudi ARAMCO Hospital dietary department to work with in-patients and counsel the family members.
Graduated with Masters in Public Health majoring in Community and Family Health, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL. Worked as a Communications Specialist at Florida Medical Quality Assurance Inc. and later promoted as a Director of Underserved population project focusing on African American Medicare diabetics.
Currently besides being an Adjunct faculty at St. Petersburg College, I freelance as a health care consultant serving clients in overall health behavior change and guide them to eat a balanced meal for a better quality of life. Also provide and support my clients with portion controlled freshly prepared, flavorful, mostly organic and natural food to lead a well-balanced life style.
