Hello everyone!  My name is Joanna Moccia and I feel very privileged to be teaching for the first time at St. Petersburg College.  My background has been primarily in Project Management with over 15 years of experience working in over 15 different industries - one of the perks of Project Management - it works in ANY industry! 

I have also worked as a Business Analyst for a national retail company and a Management Consultant for large international business consulting firms.  I owned and managed my own consulting company for 7 years where I gained a lot of experience as an entrepreneur as well as many multifaceted areas of business - you tend to wear many hats when you're the boss!  In the evenings and for the last 15 years, I have enjoyed working with students of various ages, teaching classes in the performing arts world and in the field of effective communication.  

I received my undergraduate degree in Corporate Communications from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999 and an MBA in Global Business from the University of Dallas in 2014.  I have received certifications in Business Management and Global Business which have helped launch my career, which currently resides at Citi Bank as a Sr. Project Manager in their large operations hub in Tampa. 

I would like to inspire and educate our future business professionals by using practical methods so that my students can learn by doing.  I took my own experiences in college and remembered those professors that truly made an impact in my education and they all did this by using this same practical approach.  I can only hope to provide the same impact to my students!
