Prof. Patrick McGough, MSEd.
Hello,
My name is Professor Patrick Richard John McGough. I have been a college instructor for 21 years now. My career began at Buffalo State College where I was appointed Assistant Director to the Writing Program. I have enjoyed working at the college level both as an instructor as well as an administrator and I look forward to getting to know each and every one of my students at St. Petersburg College.
Throughout my tenure, as both an administrator and a professor, I have become very aware that all students learn at different paces; moreover, students are very different in the way that they learn. A good instructor is one who is able to recogonize these individual traits and adapt to the student's and the relative situations. This is all very important when it comes to the composition component of a student's education. My students' success is paramount.
I am not only an educator, but I am a musician, and a terrible golfer as well. I have found that when people find a solid balance between work, play, and life's responsiblities, they are a more well rounded and happier person. I hope that I may help my students to find their place in life and the world as a whole.
