Mrs. Alice Marks

I am a graduate of St. Petersburg Junior College, and the University of South Florida St. Petersburg. My undergraduate degrees, and my work experience are in Business Administration and Management. However, my love of reading, writing and learning led me to a graduate degree in English Education. I have taught Developmental Writing (ENC 0025), Composition I (ENC 1101) and Composition II (ENC 1102) with classes at the St. Petersburg/Gibbs, Clearwater and Seminole campuses. I have taught classes Face to Face, Live Online and Online.
The 2024-2025 academic year is my 11th year serving as an Adjunct Professor at SPC. In 2023, I retired from my full-time employee position in Student Services at SPC. Throughout the years, I have enjoyed working in the education environment, and it is my mission to assist students in any way I can. I enjoy being a part of the learning process. I want students to engage with, and learn from, each other; it makes the course content enjoyable and makes the semester fun.
In this course, we will do some reading, writing and communicating. I look forward to the semester.
