Since 2002, Dr. Mallo has been on-staff at St. Petersburg College (SPC) as an Adjunct Instructor of Communications. She has been certified as a Professional Educator by the Florida Department of Education in the areas of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), kindergarten through grade twelve, and English Language Arts, grades six through twelve since 2001. Dr. Mallo is a past member of the National Council of Teachers of English, and she has previously published work in the Florida English Journal, a publication of the Florida Council of Teachers of English, and St. Petersburg College’s META: An Interdisciplinary Journal. She completed her Ph.D. in Curriulum & Instruction, English Education in 2020 from the University of South Florida.
