Chris Lumia started his career in higher education administration, eventually serving as a Senior Academic Program Coordinator for a large, multi-campus college of education. During this time, Chris also began to practice real estate.

Chris then decided to blend his passion for both education and real estate, and became a Lead Trainer for Stellar MLS. In that role he helped the company refine its customer training strategy as it expanded to new markets, doubled its number of subscribers, and increased its product offerings.  In 2019 Chris became Stellar MLS's first Broker Success Manager, where he built engagement amongst the broker community, strategized with brokers on how to maximize their use of MLS tools, and served as a liaison between brokers and decision makers.  He then transitioned into the role of Sr. Business Development Manager, where he oversees the day-to-day operations of the Business Development Team to engage existing and new stakeholders.

Chris has a bachelor's degree in economics, a master's degree in business administration, a specialist's degree in higher education leadership, is a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) and a Certified Distance Education Instructor (CDEI).

He is a Florida licensed real estate broker (inactive), licensed real estate instructor, Notary of the Public, Certified Multiple Listing Executive (CMLX-2), and holds several certifications from the National Association of REALTORS®.

Chris has taught a variety of real estate pre-license, post-license, and continuing education courses, and served as a  curriculum consultant and subject matter expert for real estate publishing and testing companies.  He also is an adjunct instructor for St. Petersburg College, where he teaches courses in corporate instructional design and educational technology.

Chris volunteers with organizations focused on economic empowerment.  He was a founding board member of Creating Jobs, Inc. (www.creatingjobs.org), served as their treasurer, and provides pro bono instructional design services to the Creating Jobs Academy.  He also assisted The Full Circle (formerly Entrepreneur Development Box) in creating a video course used to train entrepreneurs in underserved communities around the globe.  Additionally, Chris was the Vice President of Finance of the Florida Suncoast Chapter of the Association for Talent Development in 2019 and 2023 and is the 2024-2025 PTA Treasurer at Leila Davis Elementary School.

Chris lives in Clearwater, Florida with his wife Taryn and daughters Carley and Camryn.
