Dr. Marcella Kerlin

Welcome to my web page. I am excited about teaching at Saint Petersburg College and look forward to meeting you in my classes or on campus. Studying psychology has been my passion since highschool and going to school has been my hobby my entire life. I have never stopped learning or teaching.
I studied exceptional children at the University of Georgia and received my Ph.D., earned an MSW at Norfolk State University and two Master's Degrees in education and psychology. I have taught kindergarten through graduate school in New York, Georgia, Virginia, Vancouver, and Hawaii. My areas of teaching have been in regular education, special education for children with emotional and learning disabilities. I have also taught college students in the areas of Special Education and Psychology.
In short my philosophy of education is teaching and learning are synonymous as I continue to learn from my students all over the world and from every stage of life. My kindergarten students have taught me how much fun it is to observe the details of all the critters surrounding us and to never forget how to play. I believe learning should be fun and exciting. I am eager to meet with my classes in psychology on August 19.
