With 8+ years of experience in retention and mentoring programs, diversity education, student affairs, and first-year experience programs; Aaron is a passionate and innovative educator who loves working in Higher Education. With a track record of performance with assisting academic and student affairs units with increasing student success, engagement and retention.

Aaron earned his B.S. in International Studies, Business and Coaching, and his M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Georgia Southern University. Currently he is pursuing his Doctor of Education in Leadership and Professional Practice at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN.

As a Student Affairs practitioner, Aaron has served in multiple roles at various institutions including East Georgia State College, a two-year access institution as an Admissions Recruiter; Lincoln University-Missouri, a Historically Black College and University as the Director of the Male Initiative Program; Georgia Southern University, a Public-Carnegie research institution as the Assistant Director for Retention and Mentoring Programs; and most recently, FISK University, a Historically Black College and University as the Director of the Male Initiative Program.

Throughout his professional career he served as an advocate for how education and lifelong learning can impact an individual’s future; and he works diligently to increase access and opportunity for students in disadvantaged and/or underserved communities. He is also a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and is committed to equal education and access for students for students of all communities.
