Soultana Kalligas has worked in the field of applied linguistics since 2003. She has held positions both in Greece and the USA as teacher educator, English instructor and language proficiency examiner. Between 2008 and 2010, she worked as a copy editor and proofreader for a major English-language newspaper in Athens, Greece.

She is currently teaching English as a Second Language at SPC and until recently helped EAP students as a writing tutor at the Tarpon Springs Resource Center. In her free time, Soultana copy edits language exam preparation books for the Hellenic American Union in Greece, and is an item writer for the English Teaching Competency Test.

Soultana holds an M.Ed. in Literacy and a BA in Communication from the University of Cincinnati. She speaks five languages.
