My educational background includes an AS degree in Respiratory Care from Manatee Community College, a Baccalaureate degree in Independent Studies from the University of South Florida, and a Master's degree in Adult Education from the University of South Florida. I also hold an Adult Critical Care Specialist (ACCS) credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)

I have worked in Respiratory Care since 1994.I currently work part time as a respiratory therapist at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center.  I have worked as a a respiratory therapist and supervisor for Brandon Regional Hospital and as an adjunct instructor for the respiratory care programs at Manatee Community College, Hillsborough Community College, and Erwin Technical. I was also the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services for Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, Florida.

I have been a full time faculty member at SPC since 2005, and became program director in 2013.  I also am very involved with the Florida Society of Respiratory Care (FSRC), the Florida Respiratory Educator's Network (FREN, the Florida Respiratory Leadership Network (FRLN), and the Coalition for Baccalaurate and Graduate Respiratory Therapy Education (CoBGRTE)

Outside the classroom, my interests include spending time with my wife and daughter, fishing from my 17 foot Boston Whaler Montauk, brewing beer, and cheering for the Green Bay Packers.
