My educational background is in both writing and technology. My bachelor's degree is in English from the University of Florida (and I am a die-hard Gator); my master's degree is also in English from the University of Central Florida. My Ph.D. is in Instructional Technology from University of South Florida. At St. Petersburg College, I teach a number of classes including the following: Composition I and II, Introduction to Art and Humanities I and II, Creative Writing, Technical Writing, Educational Technology, College Success, and Introduction to Computers. I also teach traditional classes as well as blended and online classes.
I have served on a number of committees, including the Faculty Chair for the QEP. Our topic was Ready, Set, Succeed!, and the goal was to help provide students with strategies for success.
When I am not working, my interests are traveling, reading and writing, and spending time with my husband, daughters, and dog Mo. While I have trabeled throughout the US, Central America, and Europe, my favorite places are Costa Rica, Belize, Greece, England, Yellowstone, and the Turks and Caicos. As Gustav Flaubert said, “Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.”
If you need to contact me, I am available by phone, e-mail, text, Instagram, Snapchat, Linkedin, and Twitter.
