I have a Ph.D. in Geography / Environmental Science & Policy and a MA in Economics, both from the University of South Florida, and I've taught mostly introductory-level classes in both subjects. I've published research in several geography journals and am the author of a book published by Springer Publishing, Living on Limestone: Land Use Policy and Practice on Karst Terrains.
I consider myself to be more of a geographer than an economist, though my research interests seem to be mostly located at the intersection of both disciplines. I've been focused on how land use policy works in certain environmentally sensitive (karstic, specifically) landscapes, and in the future I'd like to pursue research into the spatial aspects of information and into the geography of abandoned places.
