Nicole Dunham

I am a full time Lab Coordinator for the Natural Science and Engineering Department and Adjunct Professor for Biology Program.
A.S in Marine Science from Mitchell College
B.S. in Marine Science from Eckerd College
M.S. in Marine Science from USF
I first started as an adjunct with SPC back in Fall of 2019 teaching BSC2010 and BSC2010L. Prior to that I taught Marine Science and Envirionmental Science courses as an Adjunct Professor at Eckerd College and the University of Tampa. I'm a firm believer that teaching keeps you grounded and there's always more to learn.
My science career first began back in the 90's when I worked on a research project on the rocky intertidal zones in Connecticut. Later on I started as a Fisheries Biologist at Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. I worked in the Fisheries-Independent Monitoring Program as a field biologist for a couple of decades before I decided to move over to SPC full time. I've sampled all over the state of Florida, the Keys, and the Gulf of Mexico, but my home base has always been Tampa Bay.
Besides my love of marine science and the different ocean systems, you can find me enjoying the Florida beaches and traveling around the country during our time off either hiking, skiing, finding fun new restaurants, or visiting the various cave systems in the U.S.
