Dr. Irv DeGraw is a nationally recognized banking, entrepreneurship, IPO, and capital markets analyst and authority on the valuation and performance of emerging industries. He has conducted fundamental analyses on more than 6,000 IPOs, 200 entrepreneurship ventures, and 350+ M&A transactions. His views are regularly cited by the national business media including The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, CNN, MSNBC, Bloomberg TV, Dow Jones, Marketwatch, and CNBC-TV.  He was also directly involved in the acquisitions of several now-leading business firms.

Dr. DeGraw holds a D.B.A. in Finance from Nova Southeastern University, an M.B.A. from University of Connecticut, and a B.S.B.A. from the State University of New York.  He also has degrees from several other Universities - incl. NYU, etc.

Prior to joining St. Petersburg College, Dr. DeGraw was on the faculties of Washington College (MD), Eckerd College, University of Connecticut, and the University of South Florida... among others.  His class materials are very well accepted and are used by more than 40 high level AACSB  Universities and more than 30 high level ACBSP Universities.  He currently advises AACSB Universities including: MIT, RPI, Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Boston College, Duke, Yale, U.Conn, Sacred Heart, Marist, Fairfield, etc.  He also advises ACBSP Universities in CT, NY, NJ, PA, MD, NC, VA, and IL.  Over the past year he has been recruited by several major universities, including:  MIT, RPI, ND, UCT, and several others.

He presently consults to & advises several top level Investment Firms (incl. Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, Goldman Sack's, Moody's, etc.); several top level Fortune -100 Firms (incl. General Electric, IBM, Perkin Elmer, GTE, AC Nielsen, etc.); and several major banks (incl. BB&T's HQ in NC, and a number of high level national banks, etc.). 

He is a member of NASD's Academic Forum, a Sam Walton Fellow, and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor societies. He is also a member of the Royal Economic Society, the Southern Finance Assoc., the Academy of Entrepreneurial Finance, the Academy of Business Education, Eastern Finance Assoc., the Financial Education Association, and the Academy of Financial Services.  He regularly conducts & publishes research and does seminars and presentations for several major Universities and Fortune-100 corporations. 

Professionally, Dr. DeGraw serves on the Board of Advisors of the FL Bankers Assoc. and has strong ties with the Federal Reserve and the FDIC.   He is also on the Board of Advisors of several merchant banks and ADASTRA, Falcon Capital, VEM Capital, and ISM Resources. Formerly, he was the capital markets research director of WorldFinanceNet and an advisor to Allianz Capital. He has also served in high level senior finance and management consulting capacities with The Dun & Bradstreet Corp., Chesebrough-Pond's, and Dictaphone Corp.
