My mission is to educate, advocate, and inspire. I am a native of Nassau, Bahamas
I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Bethune-Cookman College (now University), a Master of Education degree in School Counseling from Kent State University, and a Doctorate in Human Services specializing in Leadership and Management from Capella University.

I have acquired significant experience working as a Social Worker, a Police Officer, and in higher education administration. I also serve as an Adjunct Instructor. My 30 years of Social Work Administration, higher education and conflict resolution has deepened my understanding of the challenges that our students face daily. It has heightened my concern for how we, as adults, model behavior for tomorrow’s leaders. Therefore, my philosophy of teaching is simple, we should create an environment that allows for supervised exploration. I believe that the most significant learning occurs in situations that are both meaningful and realistic. In essence, for intentional learning to occur, the learner must be given access to the environment where the skills and knowledge will eventually be used.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, serving God and the community, traveling and watching crime shows and action movies.
