Teaching Philosophy
With experience in developmental math instruction, watching some of these students advance to calculus for engineering, I have developed a teaching philosophy which embraces the concept of “records blind, and equity bold”.  This philosophy requires you to do several things:  provide all students an opportunity to enter each class with a clean slate, view each student as though they are all capable of Honor Placement college level learning, and create a pathway to allow opportunities for dreams to come true.

I try to teach my student’s one of Marva Collins’ creeds “I will ignore the tags and names given me by society since only I know what I have the ability to become”.  It is my belief, every student deserves and has the right to be challenged with the highest level of academics and be provided high quality instruction by instructors that truly want to and will educate each student in the place they meet them without destroying their self-esteem.
