Dr. J. Michael Cornwell is the founder and past Director/Owner of Glencoe Animal Hospital (an American Animal Hospital Association Certified Member Hospital) located in Columbus, Ohio. He was an Adjunct Professor in The Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine at The Ohio State University, and Columbus State Community College, Veterinary Technology Program. Since 1978 he has presented animal bite prevention seminars to colleges, civic associations, safety towns, and elementary schools. In 1988, Dr. Cornwell produced the first edition of the videotape ANIMAL SAFETY IS FUN! Articles about the program have been published in The American Veterinary Medical Association Journal, The American Animal Hospital Association Trends Magazine, D.V.M. Magazine, Children's Better Health Institute "Humpty Dumpty's Magazine", and other periodicals. Dr. Cornwell, and his wife, Sandy have three married children, and four wonderful grandchildren. He teaches veterinary terminology, physiology, anesthesiology, pharmacology, medicine, nursing, zoonoses, and surgery courses.
