I hold a Ph.D. in Geology, specializing in Geoscience education from the University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa. I have a masters in Geology on igneous geochemistry and petrology. I have been teaching Earth Science/Geology since 2011 because I LOVE talking about our Earth and beyond. I especially love all flavors of rocks and volcanoes! My research focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion in the geosciences, specifically the barriers placed on populations because of required field trips.

I also am a mother to three beautiful children: my eldest daughter who will be seven this year, my son who will be five, and the newest member of our family, my youngest daughter is one. They keep me busy!
