I am multi-cultured and multi-disciplined in trainings and work experiences.
My educational background includes: Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics (BE), Taiwan; Master of Business Administration (MBA) with double disciplines in Management Information Science and Accounting from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas; and Master of Theology (Th. M) from Dallas Theological Seminary, Dallas, Texas, in 2000.
As for work experiences, they consist of 15+ years in designing and supporting business information systems, and years in teaching management information science and accounting. Since 2001, in addition to teaching those two subjects, I served as a pastor in local churches, and taught Bible courses in a Christian college. Starting from 2011, I have been concentrating in teaching world religions at SPC.
My philosophy of education in general is that every person is endowed with certain gifts, and that the purpose of education is to help oneself to fully develop and use those gifts. I feel privileged to be part of that endeavor at SPC.
On the study of religions, although I am a Christian, I also firmly believe in the separation of church and state. Because I feel that the essence of faith is that it must be completely voluntary and not forced. Thus it is critical that we respect the freedom of religion, and that people should be free to choose their faith.
