My Political Science studies have focused on American Government and the Institutions sub-field, examining the power of executive actors, organizations and rules.
Extensive background in print and broadcast journalism, master’s degrees in Public Affairs Reporting and political science, and a wealth of experience at both observing politics and taking part in government decision-making.
Studied Journalism under the late Paul Simon, former U.S. Senator and founder of the Public Affairs Reporting program in the state capital, where it remains a major field of study at University of Illinois-Springfield. I was among its second graduating class.
Courses taught at St. Petersburg College since 2006 include American National Government, International Relations, State & Local Government and the College Experience course.
