I recently received my MSN from University of Alabama at Birmingham. My undergraduate nursing education was done here at SPC. My interests (and incidentally my background) in nursing include psychiatric and emergency nursing. My teaching philosophy is to build rapport with students and use unconditional positive regard and a dash of humor. Students succeed when they are equipped with intellectual curiosity, an empathetic compass, and steadfast resilience. My personal interests include binge watching television shows, voraciously reading, exotic travels, and discovering fine food and drink.
