I am a Florida native and grew up here in the Tampa Bay area.  I attended Florida State University (GO NOLES!) and obtained my undergraduate degree in English Literature in 1992.  Upon graduating, I longed for a change of scenery and moved to northern Wisconsin.  After a few bitterly cold years, I moved back to Florida and attended Stetson University College of Law.  I graduated in 1999 with both my Juris Doctor and Masters of Business Administration.  After law school, I decided to open my own firm with my best friend and worked in a practice dealing with a multitude of family law, real estate, and estate planning issues.  In addition to the practice of law, I owned an insurance agency and have tutored students for the LSAT.  I have been an adjunct professor here at SPC since 2008 and became a full time instructor in 2013.  I am excited to bring my practical and versatile experience and pass it on to my students.  I believe that teaching is an interactive experience in which students learn by participation and discussion.
