I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Ohio State University; Go Buckeyes! I have more than 20 years experience as a registered nurse and I've worked in many areas including:  critical care, neonatal intensive care, progressive care, Mother-Infant Care, and for a part of my career I managed clinical drug trials.   I attended the University of South Florida and received a  Master's in Nursing Education and a Post Graduate Certificate in the Nurse Practitioner program with emphasis in Psychiatric Nursing.  My teaching philosophy encompasses the model of Facilitator(teacher)-Learner(student) with heavy reliance on Problem-Based Learning. 

I am a mother to three children (to date; my best work!).  I love running almost as much as I love being a nurse educator! I  have completed over 6 half marathons, a full distance marathon and most recently finished my first olympic distance triathlon.  I look forward to each new teaching experienc!  Welcome to SPC!
