Design Build Services
Intent to Award
On March 8, 2020, St. Petersburg College issued RFQ SPC #12-19-20 for Design Build. Qualifications were sought from Florida-state licensed Design Build for renovations and remodeling of the BT building located on the Clearwater campus.
Qualifications were due on April 17, 2020 at 2:00 pm. SPC received fifteen submissions.
Qualifications were distributed to the selection committee consisting of seven members. Due to COVID-19, the shortlisting process was facilitated via Zoom on April 24, 2020. The selection committee reviewed all Statements of Qualifications and shortlisted the four most highly qualified firms. On April 27, 2020, the shortlisted firms were announced.
Due to COVID-19, the presentations/interviews were facilitated through Zoom on May 5, 2020. The four highest ranking firms were submitted to the Board of Trustees and approved on May 19, 2020. Per Florida statute 287.055 the approved firms are ranked as follows:
1. A.D. Morgan
2. Creative Contractors
3. Will A Smith
4. Biltmore Construction
NOTE: Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
Saturdays, Sundays, and state holidays shall be excluded in the computation of the 72-hour time period.
