Hello! My name is Eugene Helfrick, and I am a small-town Floridian who grew up in a Rural city that featured more cows than people. After I graduated from USF in 2014 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management, I lived in different areas around Pasco and Pinellas County before moving to Tarpon Springs with my wife in 2019. I started working in a collegiate setting in 2016 at Pasco-Hernando State College and I am excited to start my next adventure here at St. Petersburg College as a career and academic advisor.

Outside work, I love cooking, sports, playing video games, talking about the cows I raised on my Mom and Dad's farm, and writing. Since 2015, I've covered hockey and the Tampa Bay Lightning for various online outlets, most notable The Hockey Writers, where I've amassed more than 3 million views. During this time with THW, I've built an understanding of professional writing, publishing, Wordpress, and editing that I use in all aspects of my life.
