Important FAMA Information

  • What is FAMA? FAMA stands for Fine Arts & Media Awards. Awards are presented to students who exhibit exceptional talents across a variety of artistic-related fields. All SPC students are encouraged to submit their artwork including but not limited to digital media, visual arts, photography, studio art, theater, music, MIRA, and humanities. If you are an SPC student you are eligible to enter your work for consideration.
  • How does the submission process for FAMA work? Students will use this submission survey to submit their work for consideration through March 6, 2026. After the submission deadline passes a blind ballot will be used to narrow down the entires into a series of award categories and finalists. A winner will be chosen for each award category through a second round of blind voting. Nominees will be notified via email prior to the awards show. Winners will be announced in-person at the awards show on Tuesday, April 14, 2026.
  • How many entires can I submit? Students may submit 3 high-quality pieces from each SPC class they are enrolled. In addition, students may submit a total of 3 additional pieces created outside of class. All submissions must have been created between April 2025 and March 2026.
  • How many times can I submit the call for entries survey? You may submit the survey multiple times. You must make a new submission for each new entry. We encourage students to submit work throughout the year. You do not have to wait until March to submit your work.
  • What happens if my artwork is low-resolution or my links are broken? It is each student's responsibility to ensure the artwork submitted is high-quality and that the link they provide to their work is active when entires are compiled on Monday, March 10th. Any entires that are too low-resolution to display in the Digitorium or are inaccessible due to broken links or privacy settings will not be considered.
  • Will FAMA help with questions about resoluton or file sharing? We will try. Email your questions to FamaAwards@spcollege.edu.
  • I worked on a project as a group. Can I submit on behalf of the group? Yes. Make sure you include all group member names when submitting the project.
  • Is there an entry fee required for FAMA? No.
  • What type of files should I submit? Please submit standard file formats like MP3, MP4, EPS, TIFF, PDF, JPEG, PNG, etc. Please do not submit your native files (aka please don't submit your Illustrator, Photoshop, AfterEffects, Premiere etc files).
  • Is there a theme for this year's FAMA? Yes! The awards ceremony will be themed after Tron. Come dressed in costume or wear black, red, or blue to support the theming. Awards will be given for the best costume!
