SPC Workforce Programs Scholarship Funding Application

 

Thank you for your interest in one of SPC's Workforce Programs!

Scholarship funding is available and awarded to eligible students on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please complete this survey application form so our team can determine if you qualify to receive a scholarship. Once completed, program staff will review your application and communicate next steps regading your award.

*Please note that scholarships may cover the full cost of attendance, but they will be applied directly to your course tuition and fees or provided as a reimbursement for program-specific expenses incurred before, during, or after completion of your program.

To establish Florida residency, please upload a copy of one of the documents indicated below. Failure to provide this information may hinder you from receiving the scholarship.

Primary documents

  • A Florida driver’s license or Florida identification card
  • A Florida voter’s registration card
  • A Florida vehicle registration
  • Proof of a permanent home in Florida which is occupied as a primary residence by the individual or by the individual’s parent if the individual is a dependent child.
  • Proof of a homestead exemption in Florida.
  • Transcripts from a Florida high school for multiple years (if Florida high school diploma or GED was earned within last 12 months)
  • Proof of permanent full-time employment in Florida for at least 30 hours per week for the most recent and consecutive 12-month period

 

Unacceptable documents

The following items are not acceptable forms of documentation to establish residency:

  • Birth certificate
  • Social Security card
  • Passport
  • Shopping club/rental cards
  • W-2 form
  • Tax return
  • Bank statements
  • Cell phone bills
  • Hunting/fishing permit
  • Concealed weapons permit
  • Credit card bills
  • Vessel, Boat, Dune buggy or other recreational vehicles
  • Medical bills or doctor’s notes
  • Paystubs
  • Library card
  • Medical Marijuana Use Registry Identification Card

 

If you are an honorably discharged veteran please upload a copy of your DD214 showing honorable dischage.

Authorization

By entering my name below, I hereby give permission for St. Petersburg College to obtain and/or disclose my past, present, and future information or records that may be needed for eligibility determination, monitoring and follow-up purposes. This information may include, but shall not be limited to: school records, grade records, attendance records, employment information, medical records, public assistance records, employment information and vocational rehabilitation assessment or evaluation tools. A photocopy/facsimile of this signed consent form may be used to obtain/release information authorized by signature on this form.
