PERT Guidance & College Counselor Referral

 

This form is for counselors to refer a current high school student to take the Post-Secondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) at St. Petersburg College.  Submit this form for first-time test takers or students retaking a section(s).

To be considered for SPC’s Dual Enrollment, Early College or Early Admission programs, a student must have qualifying scores on the PSAT, SAT, ACT or PERT. If your student has taken the PSAT, SAT or ACT, please verify their scores to confirm they need to take the PERT.

Testing Information

Students are limited to taking the PERT twice per term (once over the summer). Additional attempts may eliminate a student from consideration for Dual Enrollment, Early College or Early Admission.

Can the student take the test on campus?  SPC testing centers are open Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Students applying to our High School programs must now take the test on campus.

A Testing Proctor at the campus selected will reach out to you in 1-2 business days, to schedule your test.
Please check your SPC Student email as that is where ALL testing communications will be sent.

Will this be the students first attempt with SPC?

All attempts after the first one are $15.

 

Limit 2 attempts per semester.

Only 1 attempt durring the Summer.

If this is a second or more attempt at taking the PERT, please inform the student there is a $15.00 fee to retake the exam.
