Mark Twain said that, "The two most important days of your life are the day you were born and the day you find out why." For me, that is in committed service in teaching, legal service, public advocacy and civic engagement.

I received my BA in English-Linguistics from University of South Florida, my Juris Doctor from University of Florida and my MA in Communication at University of Florida.

After 25 years of private law practice I entered the field of higher education at The Hugh Downs School of Human Communication at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.  In my 10 years at ASU, I taught and designed courses in these subject matter areas:

• Leadership principles and practice, Small Group and Business Communication
• Training and Development
• Law and Communication
• Rhetoric, Speech Communication, Persuasion

I currently teach at for the College of Business at St. Petersburg College and for the Department of Communication at University of Tampa.

My great passion is hiking in the wilderness and mountains of Arizona.
