Dr. Marie C. Raver is a native of Illinois.  She was born and raised in Springfield.  She moved to Lisle, Illinois where she completed her Bachelors in Biology from Benedicitine University in 2008. During this time, she worked as a veterinary assistant in small animal private practice.

Dr. Raver obtained her degree in veterinary medicine from The Ohio State University in May 2014. Dr. Raver was a member of the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Dental Society, and Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society while earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.  

After completing her DVM, Dr. Raver moved to St. Petersburg.  She worked for Banfield during her first 2 years after graduation.  There she completed a 12 week internship and went on to become a coach doctor training new DVM graduates.

Currently, Dr. Raver practices medicine at Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital.  She has been an active member of the Pinellas County Veterinary Medical Association. She is on the board for the Pinellas Animal Foundation. Her areas of professional interest include dentistry and surgery.

Outside of work, Dr. Raver volunteers with her favorite rescue group that supports dogs with special needs, LoveyLoaves Sanctuary. At home, she has 6 dogs of her own, two of which are wheelchair bound. In her free time, she enjoys playing indoor volleyball, running, cycling, going to the beach, and spending time with her friends and family.  Dr. Raver is also an avid sports fan supporting the Buckeyes, Ravens, Rays, and Lightning.
