My name is Debbie Raines, I will be your instructor for this course. I have been in the veterinary field since 1977, graduating from St. Petersburg Jr. College, Veterinary Technology in 1979. I worked in general practice for many years and then incorporated teaching. I enjoy both aspects of veterinary medicine. This semester I will be teaching online and campus courses. Current and previous courses that I have taught include, Clinical Practice 1 and 2 (Surgical Nursing section), Office Procedures, Veterinary Terminology, Blood Lab 1 and 2, and Work Experience 1, 2 and 3. I absolutely love the teaching aspect of this career.

On a personal note, I am married with two children, and have adopted two cats from SPC; Windy and Kia (previously known as Wednesday and Raven).
