I earned my bachelor's degree in 1993 from the University of Florida, with a major in United States History and a minor in political science. In 1996, I graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in United States history, with a minor in modern European history. Currently, I teach government, economics, and AP US History at Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Petersburg. In addition, I have been teaching online, telecourse, and traditional courses in Western Civilization and United States History at St. Petersburg College since 1996.
My teaching philosophy is that learning is a process and that the courses I teach are merely introductions into further inquiry. As such, I believe it is my job to promote intellectual curiosity as much as it is to acquaint students with relevant course material. My interests include international travel, reading history, lifting weights, playing basketball, and seeking out excellent cuisine.
