I love teaching ESL and Composition! I'm a graduate of SPC (Go Titans!) and the University of Florida (Go Gators!). At UF, I earned my master's degree in linguistics and TESL. I've been teaching at SPC since 2008 and joined the ranks of full-time faculty in 2014. Before that time, I taught ESL to UF's international graduate student population; taught EFL in Costa Rica; tutored for Smarthinking; developed a series of computer and job skills classes for the public library system in Lexington, Kentucky; and served as the full-time writing/Spanish/ESL tutor in the SPC CL Writing Studio.

I also love my husband Nick, our son River, and our dog, Cakey. When I'm not teaching and hanging out with my fam, you might find me dancing rueda de casino, listening to the Mindscape podcast, playing Dungeons & Dragons, or reading Terry Pratchett novels.
