     April Nicole Kimble is a Family Nurse Practitioner, Board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and is currently licensed to practice in the state of Florida. April began her nursing career as a junior in high school and graduated with honors as both a Licensed Practical nurse along with her high school diploma in 2002. As a LPN she took on Skilled Nursing Facility Managerial  roles, Hospice Assignments, worked as a nurse in Primary Care office roles, as well as the clinical setting. She attended St. Petersburg college where she obtained an Associates in Science Degree, successfully completing the LPN to RN Transitional program. As a Registered nurse, she continued Supervisory roles in the office setting, Supportive care in Medical Day Spa, ran Weight management programs, Worked both Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine, Long Term Acute Care, Held several charge nurse positions, and worked as SWAT nurse as supportive care in critical care situations. She then went on to obtain a Bachelors in The Science of Nursing (BSN), then a Masters Degree at South University Tampa of which she graduated with honors. 
     As a Masters Prepared Board Certified Nurse (Advance Practice Registered Nurse)  she has held a position with he largest Primary Care Groups In Pinellas county. This has afforded opportunities for experience in Primary Care, Women’s Health, Skilled Nursing facilities, Assisted/Independent living facilities, Medical Day Spa’s, Long term acute care (LTACH), acute inpatient rehab facilities, home health care, Psych/Mental Health Facilities, outpatient, and acute inpatient facilities. She is also active in the community volunteers frequently with homeless shelters, food pantries, and health care support. In 2018 she was awarded a certification of appreciation in assisting to develop a program for free school and sports physicals for those in need.  In addition she sits on the Board of a local LLC that helps to bridge health care disparities among those affected. Her five year goals are to complete a local DNP program.  Moreover, she serves as a mentor to to high school and nursing school students as well as new Advance Practice Nurse Practitioners In The community. As an instructor at St. Pete college her teaching style is a hybrid Socratic in an adaptive approach as to she assesses each individual and spark critical thinking and understand in efforts to empower and prepare future nurses for the real world.
