With more than 30 total years of experience in Fire and EMS, I am currently the Division Chief of Training for Clearwater Fire & Rescue (CFR), responsible for 200+ line personnel training and development. I am a FL State Certified Fire Instructor III, LFTI, Fire Officer II, and Certified Incident Command Officer Instructor, as well as hold a variety of other certifications relating to the fire service and public safety both state and nationally recognized. I oversee the Special Operations Division of CFR which includes Tech Rescue, SWAT Medics, Marine and Dive Rescue Teams. Lastly, I also hold the position of Technical Rescue Team Commander for Pinellas County.

I joined CFR in January of 2021 after spending 20 years with St. Petersburg Fire Rescue. Originally I started my journey as a firefighter/EMT, then as a firefighter/paramedic, promoted to Lieutenant, then working my way up to the rank of Captain. I was an active member of the Technical Rescue Team for PCTRT (Pinellas County Technical Rescue Team, TRT-423) and FLTF3, a SWAT medic for over 10 years while there, including a team leader position. I ended my responsibilities with the department as the Rescue Division Administrative Captain out of Headquarters.

Areas of expertise include Command and Control of Fire Suppression and Rescue Operations, Administration, Training & Development, Emergency Medical Services, Special Event Coordination, Logistics, and Public Speaking. Ability to multi-task and handle extremely stressful situations while maintaining a professional attitude and confidence. Strong desire to excel and advance in leadership opportunities. More than ten years in multi-level management positions and more than 25 years of career fire service experience. Personable and principled with a military background, strong work ethic and self-accountability.
