MY APPROACH
I prefer to think of myself as interdisciplinary, as I find great potential in converging disciplines such as marketing, finance, communication, and entrepreneurship. My purpose in teaching is to inspire students to aspire for greatness, developing into the most strategic, creative and innovative thinkers they can be, as well as effective human beings! Anyone can learn concepts, but when students go beyond the topics to develop insight and begin to analyze and strategize, they're mastering patterns of critical thought that will stand them well throughout their careers and in life. To get ahead, people must develop keen critical and strategic thinking, superior communication skills, and the ability to manage oneself as well as others. Being part of this development process is my greatest intrinsic reward.

MY INTERESTS

My professional and personal interests have converged in Nanny Group, LLC, the company my daughter and I founded in January 2021 after determining that we have several viable concepts to develop. Our first product, the Necklace Nanny, is in the prototype stage, and we are in talks with manufacturers and also developing a crowdfunding campaign. Launching a product has been as much fun as I'd imagined and more work than we had anticipated!

As a life-long learner, I value continual exposure to new ideas and questioning them, understanding that failure to stay ahead of change is to become reactive and eventually obsolete. I consider reading tthe Wall Street Journal, several business publications, and online news sources to be essential for staying current and furthering innovation.

In my free time, a few interests keep me going:
-Inventions. I love following the newest products on the crowdfunding sites and enjoy coming with ideas of my own as well.
-Metal smithing  - I make jewelry and have a home studio with some fun machines that keep me happily occupied for hours.
-My rescue dog, GInnie Minnie. Part terrier and part maltese, she's full-time cuteness! I've been known to include her pic in a class email, so be warned!
-Three exceptional granddaughters and a newborn grandson
