Thomas Agrusti
As a data-driven public health professional, I bring extensive experience in healthcare to the classroom. With a professional background in public health and data analytics, I bring nearly a decade of experience working with healthcare organizations to improve population health outcomes and inform evidence-based decision-making. My education background includes a Bachelors in Psychology and Philosophy from William Patteron NJ and a Masters in Public Health at University of South Florida. With my MPH, my work has focused on analyzing health data to identify community needs, evaluate programs, and support strategic initiatives at various Tampa Bay health systems: AdventHealth and BayCare. I have a strong passion about helping students connect public health theory and health science concepts to real-world practice, with a particular focus on health equity, systems thinking, and data-driven policy. I strive to foster an inclusive, discussion-based classroom environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, challenge assumptions, and apply what they learn to real-world scenarios.
Outside of the classroom, I have lived in the Tampa Bay area since 2016 with my wife and two sons. As a family, we enjoy staying active, cheering my son’s mites team or TB Lightning, exploring local theme parks, and discovering new restaurants around the area.
