Debra Grady Sheehy, M.S., M.C.D.P. completed her Masters Degree in Counselor Education from The California State University, Los Angeles, California.   Grady Sheehy specialized in College and Career Counseling in the College of Education. Grady Sheehy received the Master Career Development Professional (M.C.D.P.) Credential for outstanding skills in Career Development and Career Assessment from The National Career Development Association in 2012.   Grady Sheehy received two Bachelors Degrees and a Minor simultaneously from California State University, Fullerton, California with a B.A. in Psychology, B.S. in Human Services Administration and a Minor in Multicultural Studies.  Grady Sheehy was a First Generation College Student.

Grady Sheehy has served the higher education area as Associate Dean, Student Affairs at the University of South Florida, Tampa Campus, Manager and Consultant for the Office of the United States Secretary of Defense's Military Spouse Career Development Account (MyCAA) for Ceridian Corporation, University of Illinois at Chicago College Counselor and St. Petersburg College Workforce Coordinator for Career & Technical Education Programs. Grady Sheehy is classified as a  Subject Area Expert in Career Counseling &  Development by the United States Office of the Secretary of Defense Military Spouse Career Advancement Account and the National Career Development Association.  Grady Sheehy is a member of the prestigious National Career Development Association's list of National "Master Career Development Professionals (MCDP)" designation. Grady Sheehy is also Board Certified to administer the Myers-Briggs Assessment.  Grady Sheehy is a member of Who's Who among African Americans, Who's Who among Human Services Professionals, The Links, Incorporated,  Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, The National Career Develpment Association, The National Association of Workforce Professionals and Beulah Baptist Church. GradySheehy is married to Dr. Paul Sheehy, Jr. and the mother of son Paul III, a Morehouse College Graduate.

Grady Sheehy is credentialed to teach Student Life Skills courses such as: The College Experience,  Career & Life Planning, Peer-Mentoring and other Student Life Skills courses at the college level. 

Grady Sheehy uses a student-centered model and believes in facilitative approaches to teaching and learning.  A Masters level trained College/Career Counselor, Grady Sheehy believes in proactive approaches to student development using research based strategies for student success.  Grady Sheehy is passionate about assisting every student in her course achieve their academic pursuits leading to the highest level of personal, career, academic and professional success.
