I believe when we learn something, we are obligated to teach, and when we get something, we are obligated to give.  (Someone very smart said that in the past, and it wasn't me.)  I also believe in the healing power of cuddling with a dog.  My full-time job is with the American Medical Student Association, as Director of Student Affairs and Programming.  When not working, I serve on the FL Hospital ethics committee, Suncoast Hospice ethics committee, USF Division of Research Integrity Conflict of Interest committee, and the board of directors for Choices for Care.  If you're looking for me during off hours, I'm either telling my better half that I am not worthy, hanging out with my pets (two dogs and a bird) or eating candy.  Sometimes I do all of those things at the same time.

Causes I support include the Animal Legal Defense Fund, the Fistula Foundation, and Planned Parenthood.  My favorite animals are sloths, favorite place in the world is Iceland, and favorite candy is Swedish Fish.

I received my Masters in Bioethics from the University of South Florida and Doctorate in Health Science from A.T Still University.  My goal is to help facilitate student awareness and interest in ethics to help everyone make decisions that will make for beautiful eulogies.
